About Elizabeth Nolan:

Liz trained and qualified as a solicitor in criminal defence law. She practiced for 8 years, during which time she did all aspects of criminal defence work, from police station advice to conducting jury trials, after becoming a solicitor advocate, allowing her to practice in the crown courts. In 2010 she joined a start-up law firm where, as well as continuing with some criminal defence work, she retrained to specialise in employment law, representing clients at employment tribunals and advising individuals and businesses in relation to employment law and regulation.

In 2014 Liz began to study a post-graduate certificate in professional services marketing at evening classes and in 2015 she stepped away from practice and joined a city law firm as client relationship manager. She completed the qualification and went on to work in business development and project management roles, completing a project management qualification in 2018 and being awarded full membership status of the Association for Project Management in 2021.

Liz now works as a senior legal project manager at Sackers, the UK’s leading specialist law firm for the pensions and retirement savings industry. She works on matters directly with clients alongside the lawyers and is developing the project management function at Sackers, helping to create efficiency and consistency of service across the firm.

Liz is a keen runner, currently training for her second marathon, and a mother to two young boys.
